In order to create magnificent rugs at outstanding quality, Herat Oriental works with over 1,400 weavers in six different countries to produce the best quality handmade rugs possible. The rugs are imported from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, China, and Tibet. Each rug is made with the highest quality wool and silk available. All of the wool is hand-selected for durability and softness, as well as hand-spun which gives it more character. The silk rugs are woven delicately to give the rug a beautiful finish.

All of the rugs are handmade and may take months, even years to complete. Handmade rugs provide great detail, beauty and value that machine made rugs cannot compare with.
